WHY ARCHITECTURE

What is the significance of architecture, and how to create an architecture that is specific to the setting? Such questions had been lingering in my mind ever since I received the architectural education. As I grow older, the answers have been in a constantly subverted and reconstructed process. Fortunately, architecture still embodies all my enthusiasm today, and interpreting a series of architectural issues has become the content and result of my work.
The information storm of the Internet Era is changing our life, work and thinking. The way the
public think of the architecture and the means of wide spreading have made a great difference
in the context of architecture. Architecture is no longer based on academic discussions in professional fields, and has lost the right of unilateral interpretation, as the effect of examples (models, paradigms) is disappearing, we shall think about how to fill in the huge space released by the Internet Era, and we need to gather greater energy to endow new meaning to the buildings, and constantly cover it with updated meaning.
